Ms. Bond completed her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and continued on to the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, graduating in 1999. During law school, Ms. Bond competed in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court of the American Arbitration Association, held in Vienna, Austria and was Vice-President of the International Moot Court Association of her law school.
Ms. Bond is admitted to practice in the States of Texas, Missouri, and Kansas and has been a Member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (“AILA”) since 1999. The Federal nature of our immigration laws allows her to represent clients all over the United States and abroad. For over ten years, she has successfully represented employers in virtually every State in the US including Texas, California, Illinois, Florida, New York, New Mexico, Missouri, Kansas, South Dakota, and Nebraska and individuals from various countries, including United Kingdom, Canada, China, Japan, Australia, France, India, Malaysia, Nepal, Estonia, South Korea, Egypt, Belarus, South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Chad, Zimbabwe and abroad, helping them bring foreign employees to the U.S. to work in numerous industries, including engineering, IT/software development, telecommunications, healthcare, aerospace and aeronautics, marketing, research & development, medical technologies, medical research, and pharmaceuticals. Whether you are in Dallas, Houston, Amarillo, Kansas City, St. Louis, Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, or New York City-we are available to assist you with your immigration related legal needs.
In addition to her work on behalf of private-sector employers, Ms. Bond works with universities from all over the United States. She has successfully secured visas and permanent residency in the U.S. for professors, scientists, and researchers employed in various academic departments, including chemistry, pharmacology, biology, engineering, mathematics, physics, as well as grain science and veterinary science at such outstanding universities as the University of Texas, Texas A&M University, Kansas State University, University of Kansas, University of Missouri, and Central Missouri State University to name a few.
Ms. Bond’s practice covers employment based non-immigrant visas, including H-1B, O-1, TN, PERM/labor certification and adjustment of status, as well as immigrant visas and consular processing of immigrant visas. She has successfully handled matters on behalf of numerous outstanding professors and researchers, as well as aliens of extraordinary ability. She has successfully obtained national interest waivers for numerous scientists working in a variety of fields, and has processed the non-immigrant and permanent residence immigrant visas/adjustment of registered nurses, dietitians, actors and entertainers.
Significantly, Ms. Bond has obtained non-immigrant visas and permanent residence for numerous individuals based on novel applications of the immigration laws. In a number of cases she has helped employers gain exemption from the numerical limitations normally applicable to H-1B visas, by employing innovative strategies, and thinking outside of the box. Many times, it is the nuances of the case that make the difference between success and failure. It takes years of experience, and volumes of cases before an attorney can claim to be a ‘seasoned’ attorney, who is capable of spotting that ‘hidden gem of evidence’ that can save the client’s case.
In addition to working with individuals and companies, Ms. Bond has over 10 years of experience in family-based permanent residence, fiancé visa petitions, and naturalization.
Susan Bond is admitted to practice in the States of Texas, Missouri and Kansas. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), a professional organization of over 10,000 immigration lawyers nationally who practice and teach immigration law.
