The Outstanding American by Choice initiative recognizes the outstanding achievements of naturalized U.S. citizens. Through civic participation, professional achievement, and responsible citizenship, recipients of this honor have demonstrated their commitment to this country and to the common civic values that unite us as Americans.

Throughout the year, USCIS Director Emilio T. González will recognize naturalized citizens who have made significant contributions to both their community and their adopted country.

New application and petition fees go into effect on July 30, 2007!

For the first time since 2005, each employment based preference category is current. That’s the good news-but for how long? Rumors are circulating that the USCIS adjudicated over 40,000 employment based applications within the last week, and that a new ‘revised’ visa bulletin will be issued soon-possibly the first week of July, which will reflect NO availability again.
